Summary
Lincoln Electric is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our Euclid,
OH World Headquarters. The Mechanical Engineer will be a part of
the Plant Engineering team at Cleveland Operations. The team drives
the success of capital projects while providing critical
engineering support to the Consumable and Machine divisions.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the
mechanical aspects of these projects, including facilities
preparation, equipment design, and equipment installation. Your
work will directly impact the improvement of existing systems and
facilities, focusing on enhancing health and safety, operational
efficiency, product quality, and cost management.

What You Will Do:
-
Collaborate in a Team-Oriented, Hands-On Environment: Work within a
multidisciplinary team on capital and strategic projects aimed at
enhancing the Cleveland Operations production facilities. Engage in
direct, hands-on involvement with engineering solutions and design
improvements.
Mechanical Engineering Leadership: Take full responsibility for the
mechanical aspects of various projects, including the preparation
of facilities, design of equipment, and installation of systems,
ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
Drive Continuous Improvement: Focus on engineering solutions that
improve equipment reliability, reduce operational and maintenance
costs, enhance safety, and increase ergonomics for plant personnel.
Continuously evaluate equipment to drive improvements in
productivity and reliability.
Support Safety & Environmental Initiatives: Develop solutions in
compliance with ISO 14001 standards and Environmental, Health, and
Safety (EHS) initiatives.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Interface with engineering,
manufacturing, maintenance, R&D, Quality Assurance (QA), and
Supply Management teams to ensure project accuracy, alignment, and
timely execution of design targets.
Technical Support & Problem Solving: Provide ongoing technical
support to the Production and Maintenance departments,
troubleshooting issues, recommending solutions, and helping to
implement system and process improvements.
Project Management: Work closely with or manage external
engineering and construction personnel to ensure that projects are
completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with all safety
and regulatory requirements.
Compliance & Regulatory Excellence: Ensure that all mechanical
systems and project activities meet or exceed safety, health,
environmental, and industry regulations, adhering to EPA and OSHA
standards.

Required Education & Experience
-
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Level II Engineer: minimum of 3 years of professional engineering
experience, with a solid track record of contributing to successful
projects and operations in an industrial setting.
Level III Engineer: minimum of 5 -years of professional engineering
experience, with a solid track record of contributing to successful
projects and operations in an industrial setting.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle a variety of
assignments, including occasional travel between facilities in
Northeast Ohio and off-shift work as required.
Must demonstrate sound judgment, be self-motivated, proactive, and
safety-conscious with a strong sense of ownership and
responsibility.
Comfort and capability in performing hands-on work on the shop
floor with production employees, troubleshooting, and providing
support to production processes.
Ability to lead small to medium-sized projects, offering support
for day-to-day operations while ensuring project goals are met.
Experience with Solid Edge or similar 3D CAD modeling software is
preferred,
Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, EPA, and OSHA standards is a
plus
